Definition of Ḍd

Some say: two contraries are two things under one genus that cannot be combined like black and white.

The Almighty says: 'They will be opponents to them' (Maryam 82).

Contraries mutually exclude each other.

Surah Maryam : 82 Meccan
﴿كَلَّا ۚ سَيَكْفُرُونَ بِعِبَادَتِهِمْ وَيَكُونُونَ عَلَيْهِمْ ضِدًّا﴾
No! Those "gods" will deny their worship of them and will be against them opponents [on the Day of Judgement].
