Definition of Kathb

Al-Kathīb refers to the sand dune.

Its plural is kuthub and kuthbān.

The Almighty says: 'And the mountains will be like heaps of sand poured out' (Al-Muzzammil 14).

Al-kathb is piled-up sand.
