The angels. Among the theologians: the angels are subtle, heavenly bodies, given power to take various forms; their dwelling is the heavens. (Ibn Hajar).
Al-malik: one of the names of Allah the Most High. In the Quran: [al-Mu'minun, 116: 'So exalted be Allah, the True King: no god is there but He, the Lord of the noble throne.'], because He is the absolute owner, the owner of kings and the master of the day of judgement. The holder of dominion.
The holder of authority and power over a nation, a tribe, or lands. (plural) amlak and muluk. Al-malakut: the great dominion; the waw and ta are added for intensification.
In the glorious Quran: [Ya-Sin, 83: 'Glory to Him in whose hand is the dominion of all things, and to Him you will be returned.'], that is: the sanctification of Allah, glorified is He, in whose hand are the keys of the heavens and the earth, 'and to Him returns the whole affair'; the servants return to Him on the day of return, and He requites each doer by his deed. According to al-Jurjani: the world of the unseen, peculiar to the spirits and souls. Al-mamluk: passive participle of malaka the thing.
