Definition Al-jzʾy

Al-jzʾy according to Dustur al-'Ulama (Al-Ahmadnagari)

That which applies through homonymy to that whose very conception prevents any association, such as Zayd, and which is thus named.

Al-jzʾy according to Maqalid al-'Ulum (As-Suyuti)

That whose very conception of meaning prevents any association in it.
