Definition Al-ikfaʾ

Al-ikfaʾ according to Maqalid al-'Ulum (As-Suyuti)

The variation of the rawiyy letter in a single poem.

Al-ikfaʾ according to At-Tawqif (Al-Munawi)

Turning a thing upside down, derived from recompense meaning equality, as if he removed equality, and from this comes ikfa in poetry.

إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ وَمَلَٰٓئِكَتَهُۥ يُصَلُّونَ عَلَى ٱلنَّبِىِّ ۚ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ صَلُّوا۟ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلِّمُوا۟ تَسْلِيمًا
