Definition Al-ḥrd

Al-ḥrd according to Maqalid al-'Ulum (As-Suyuti)

Anger accompanied by the intention to harm the one who is its object.

Al-ḥrd according to At-Tawqif (Al-Munawi)

Prevention arising from harshness and anger (Al-Mufradat / 113).
