Definition Al-ḥmd al-ḥal-y

Al-ḥmd al-ḥal-y according to Kitab at-Ta'rifat (Al-Jurjani)

It is that which pertains to the spirit and the heart, such as being characterized by theoretical and practical perfections, and acquiring divine moral traits.

Al-ḥmd al-ḥal-y according to At-Tawqif (Al-Munawi)

That which pertains to the spirit and the heart, such as being characterized by theoretical and practical perfections, and acquiring divine moral traits (Al-Ta'rifat, p. 98).
