Definition Al-ajram

Al-ajram according to Dustur al-'Ulama (Al-Ahmadnagari)

Plural of jarm with a kasra on the jim, applied to the celestial sphere and the bodies it contains.

Al-ajram according to Maqalid al-'Ulum (As-Suyuti)

The measure of the degrees that lie between the beginning of the conjunction.
