Biography of Abdullah ibn Ammar
6637 - Abd Allah ibn 'Ammar «٣».
He transmitted from the Prophet (peace be upon him and his family and upon them all peace), and from him transmitted Abd Allah ibn Yarbuu'; Ibn 'Abd al-Barr included him and said: his hadith is considered by them to be mursal.
6638
- Abd Allah ibn 'Umar «٤» al-Jarmi.
Ibn al-Amin supplemented this entry beyond al-Isti'ab, saying: it is said that he had companionship with the Prophet.
Among his hadiths is that he came from the presence of the Prophet (peace be upon him and his family and upon them all peace) carrying a water-vessel ... the full hadith, in which it is stated that he sprinkled water over a place of allegiance-taking and converted it into a mosque. Ibn al-Athir followed him in this.
There is a distortion in the name of his father therein; Abu 'Umar mentioned it correctly as it has already been stated under Abd Allah ibn 'Umayr - with the diminutive - in the first part.

6639 z- Abd Allah ibn 'Amr:
Without mention of his lineage.
He was brought out by 'Ali ibn Sa'id al-'Askari and Abu Musa in the Supplement, from his chain, then from the transmission of Ibn Jurayj, from Muhammad ibn 'Abbad ibn Ja'far, from Abu Salama ibn Sufyan, and Abd Allah ibn 'Amr, and Abd Allah ibn al-Musayyab, all of whom said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his family and upon them all peace) led us in the Fajr prayer and recited Sura al-Mu'minun ... the full hadith «١».
Abu Musa said: This hadith is well-preserved from the transmission of these three, from Abd Allah ibn al-Sa'ib, who said: The Prophet (peace be upon him and his family and upon them all peace) led us in prayer ... the full hadith. And it is as he stated:
Likewise Muslim recorded it from this transmission, and al-Bukhari cited it in abridged form under the entry of Abd Allah ibn al-Sa'ib, who is the Makhzumi, of whom both he and his father had companionship and both have already been treated. Each of Abu Salama ibn Sufyan and those mentioned alongside him were from among the Successors.
As for Abu Salama, his name was Abd Allah ibn Sufyan, a Makhzumi Successor; Yahya ibn Abd Allah ibn Sayfi also transmitted from him, and Ahmad and others declared him trustworthy.
As for Abd Allah ibn al-Musayyab, he was also Makhzumi, and a cousin of his teacher Abd Allah ibn al-Sa'ib; his father was a Companion, but he himself was a Successor, though it was also said: that he had companionship, and the clarification of this has already passed in the first part. Ibn Abi Mulayka also transmitted from him, and Ibn Hibban mentioned him among the trustworthy Successors.
As for Abd Allah ibn 'Amr, he was the 'A'idhi, also Makhzumi, a close relative of the aforementioned. In some versions of the hadith in Muslim, Abd Allah ibn 'Amr ibn al-'As appears, but the transmitter was criticized for this. The correct one is the 'A'idhi.
