This section contains a single authentic hadith on Ramadan. It reports that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) «was the most generous of people, and he used to be more generous than ever in Ramadan when Gabriel (Jibrīl) would meet him». The month of fasting is thus also the month of intensified generosity, when the Prophet surpassed even himself.
