This section contains a single authentic hadith on providing for children. Refusing to witness a distribution that would wrong some of the children, the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) says: «Then do not make me a witness, for I do not bear witness to injustice». Providing for children is thereby governed by equity among them.
