It includes the case of Ghaylān ibn Salamah Ath-Thaqafi, who embraced Islam while he had ten wives: the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded him to choose four of them. Another hadith reports that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) returned his daughter Zaynab to Abu al-‘Ās ibn Ar-Rabī‘ in marriage six years after the first marriage, without renewing the contract. Two of these hadiths are authentic, the third is good.
