The 3 hadiths address the custody of the child after the separation of the parents: the prior right of the mother as long as she does not remarry; the choice left to the child himself, "take whichever of them you wish by the hand"; and the hadith of Rafi ibn Sinan on the child having to choose between his two parents who separated for the sake of Islam. إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ وَمَلَٰٓئِكَتَهُۥ يُصَلُّونَ عَلَى ٱلنَّبِىِّ ۚ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ صَلُّوا۟ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلِّمُوا۟ تَسْلِيمًا

God and His angels shower their blessings on the Prophet. O believers, you should also send your blessings on him, and salute him with a worthy greeting.
