Hadiths on Ascertaining Non-Pregnancy

This category gathers an authentic hadith devoted to the waiting period of purification (al-istibra'). The text teaches that there should be no sexual intercourse with a pregnant woman until she gives birth, nor with a non-pregnant woman until she has had one menstrual cycle.
