Hadiths on Agnates

This section contains an authentic hadith (no. 5887) that establishes the rank of the agnates (Al 'Asabah) in succession: "Give the prescribed shares (of inheritance) to those who are entitled to them, and whatever remains goes to the nearest male relative". The rule orders to give each entitled person his share, then to reserve the surplus for the male relative nearest to the deceased, as defined by the asabah.
