This section contains one authentic hadith (No. 6079) that sets the rules of advance payment: “Whoever pays in advance for anything, let him pay for a specified measure and a specified weight, to be delivered on a specified period of time”. Salam therefore requires a specified measure, a specified weight, and a specified time at the conclusion of the contract, so as to remove any disagreement between the parties. The section thus gathers the conditions of validity of this particular sale.
